Promoting Energy and Health in Men

There are important differences in men’s and women’s needs in nutrition for optimal health.  While women would seem to have more special nutritional needs than men, given the demands that biology puts on them, men need to pay attention to their own set of nutritional demands as well.  For example many men working inside all day do not get enough exposure to the sun, which is needed for the body to manufacture vitamin D.  Vitamin D becomes even more important with age, because it’s needed to absorb calcium and helps prevent weak muscles and bones.
